Women Leaders

Women Leaders at the Forefront of Legal Transformation

Counsel 2025   The future of the legal practice is undergoing rapid change in 2025. The core of that change is the emergence of a new generation of women who are redefining leadership in the legal field, especially in the Gulf region, and Dubai women leaders. The power of female practitioners is transforming the practice, governance, and strategic value of law practiced by law firms, corporate legal groups, policy-making institutions, and international arbitration. A New Era of Legal Leadership Legal leadership is no longer merely advising the clients or handling litigation. It now includes strategic decision-making, adoption of technologies, governance reform and global expansion. Top professionals in the UAE have provided the best illustrations of such changes. The remarkable fact is that these leaders describe legal departments not only as cost centres but also strategic centres both in terms of compliance, risk management, ESG (environmental, social and governance) standards and digital transformation. Such expansion of scope is an indication of a different standard of law leadership in the future. Why Dubai Matters for Women in Legal Leadership The city of Dubai, and the United Arab Emirates in general, is also on the frontline of promoting the growth of women in the workplace and decision-making. Dubai Women Establishment (DWE) and other organisations have specific programmes to enhance the leadership strength, board representation, and strategic influence of women. This has provided new opportunities to the Dubai women leaders in the legal field. As an example, many women are currently gaining positions such as partner of a law firm or general counsel of big corporations; traditionally, a domain that was dominated by men. The Transformation Agenda: From Compliance to Strategy In this new wave of legal leadership, three key shifts are in motion: Strategic integration of legal functions Leaders have made it a point to integrate legal services into the overall business strategy, which is essentially an arrangement where legal teams become facilitators of the growth process as opposed to being just risk controllers. Just to give you an idea, the ladies whose names appeared in the list of legal heads in the UAE are experts in digital transformation, commercial law, and regulatory change. Embracing technology and innovation Legal leadership is increasingly focused on the way the law is practised: research powered by AI, the automation of contract workflows, and the use of smart contracts are becoming the core of the practice. A lawyer from the Emirates was saying that the legal system in the UAE is going to change drastically due to automation and AI-powered dispute resolution, among other ‍‌things. Advancing diversity, governance, and board influence Governance ‍reforms, as well as board-level discussions concerning legal risk, compliance, and corporate culture, are being influenced significantly by legal leaders. The DWE’s “Women on Boards” project is an example of how female leaders in Dubai are being equipped for roles in governance outside the scope of the legal ‍profession. Challenges and the Path Forward Despite the progress, challenges remain. For example: Mentorship, sponsorship, and networks that have traditionally benefited men should be changed and modified so that more women can have access to roles that have a high impact and assignments that are visible. According to one local legal leader, the most important thing for professional success was to have a strong ‍network. The ‍change rate in legal technology and regulation is so fast that legal leadership requires the latest skills in digital, ESG, cross-border practice, and business partnering. Hence, all these skills call for a commitment to training and ‍ ‌‍ ‍‌ ‍ ‌‍ ‍‌development. Why 2025 Is a Watershed Year Counsel 2025 represents more than just a name – it signifies a change. The scope of the legal leadership role is going beyond, and women in Dubai are at the center of that change. Women leaders in Dubai are no longer just a pool of professionals, but they are becoming the main players of strategy, innovation, and institutional reform. Their rise is a signal of a recalibration of legal leadership in the modern sense: not just understanding the law, but also understanding change, value, and governance. As companies, law firms, and governments in the region are getting ready for the change through areas like fintech, ESG, arbitration, smart contracts, and regulatory innovation, the leaders who will facilitate these changes are, in fact, women. Their rise is a great move towards legal leadership being more inclusive, strategic, and ‍ future oriented. Read Also : Mastering Influence and Integrity in Law

Integrity

Mastering Influence and Integrity in Law

Balancing the Scales The ‍two conversational pillars of legal leadership and professional integrity are, perhaps, more visible than ever in the field of law. Lawyers have power over the lives of their clients, the results of businesses, public policy, and even social justice. They therefore have the obligation to behave in a moral, open, and impartial manner. To be able to do so, they have to address the tension that, while being subtle, is also very strong, that exists between them, playing the role of a strategic advisor and that of a guardian of justice. The correlation of this equilibrium with the Women empowerment UAE is getting stronger, as female legal professionals come forward to set new standards of ethical leadership and transform the legal culture throughout the ‍region. The Influence of Lawyers and Why It Matters The ‍role of a lawyer is not just limited to clarifying laws and referring to court decisions. Lawyers have the power to influence choices, create policies, and direct strategies that change the face of businesses, governments, and communities. The effects, in this case, may be felt not only by the clients but also by society, depending on whether the legal professionals decide to wield their power in the cases of society or otherwise. Though it may seem like a positive thing, influence, as a weapon, is ambivalent, meaning it can support fairness or manipulate ‍it. Women empowerment UAE movement is a clear sign of the necessity of a responsible influence. Women in law field have raised their voices to be the agents of the implementation of the concepts of fairness, ethical accountability, and transparency in professional practice. Their ascent shows that power resided not in the authority alone but rather in the integrity, competence, and courage of the person. This connection of influence with virtue is the basis of present-day leadership in ‍law. The Central Role of Integrity Integrity is what the entire legal profession is built upon. It goes far beyond simply following the rules and regulations and includes being truthful, stable, and taking moral responsibility. The lawyers are the ones who are required to live by the law, not only to follow it. With integrity, it is guaranteed that any choice, advice, or bargaining will be aimed at justice and the common ‍good. Whenever ‍these morals are weakened, the law becomes less believable. Initiatives for Women empowerment UAE have been very instrumental in highlighting the need for this ethical base by offering courses of morality, wise decision making, and governance. Women in power are a dominant image of not just the law as a source of power, but also of a change in the profession that is led by virtue of ‍integrity. Navigating Tensions Between Influence and Integrity It ‍is not always easy to balance influence and integrity. Lawyers encounter complicated situations that challenge not only their professional skills but also their moral strength. Commercial pressure versus ethical duty In most cases, lawyers in private practice or corporate environments are urged to prioritize profit or client satisfaction over morals. Nevertheless, genuine legal leadership is about being courageous and standing firm when your values are tested. When a lawyer rejects the use of unethical shortcuts, he not only elevates the trustworthiness of the firm but also that of the entire profession. Client loyalty versus duty to the court and society Lawyers are bound to act in their clients’ best interests, but the lawyer’s duty is not without limitations. The superior one to the court and the justice system demands honesty and fairness, even when it clashes with client expectations. This separation is what safeguards the equilibrium between advocacy and integrity. External influence versus professional independence For instance, a lawyer could be pressured by a wealthy client, political interests, or the institutional hierarchy to give up his independence. However, holding on to professional distance and objectivity not only saves the individual lawyers but also the system. Strategic persuasion versus integrity in advice Influence in law is mostly about persuasion and negotiation. A morally upright lawyer, however, uses his influence to support justice rather than to trick the situation. Integrity guarantees that every move made is still legal, fair, and truthful. The Women Empowerment UAE is a fine example of how these challenges can be overcome with clarity and poise. Women leaders in law are proving that influence coupled with ethical conviction can be a means for both professional success and social ‍ ‌‍ ‍‌ ‍ ‌‍ ‍‌progress. Why This Balance Matters Lawyers’ ability to balance influence and integrity makes them more credible, extends their professional reputation, and helps them have a career that lasts. Clients benefit from this as well because they are the ones who get real, clear, and logical pieces of advice. Society also benefits as the rule of law is protected and confidence in legal institutions becomes ‍ ‌stronger. Read Also : Women Leaders at the Forefront of Legal Transformation

Nadia Serry

Nadia Serry: A General Counsel Shaped by Global Experience, Human Skills, and a Mediation-First Mindset

Across fast-moving corporate landscapes, the most effective legal leaders are those who pair technical excellence with judgment, empathy, and the ability to steer complex organisations through risk without losing sight of people. Nadia Serry embodies that model. Today, as General Counsel of EII Capital P.S.C and Corporate Board Secretary across multiple portfolio entities, she integrates board governance, contract severity, and dispute strategy with a calm, solutions-first approach. Her path from Alexandria to Paris to Dubai; from litigation prep to risk and compliance; from private practice to in-house leadership, reveals a professional who learns fast, adapts constantly, and leads with both precision and perspective. General Counsel to a Holding Group and Its Portfolio Nadia Serry serves as General Counsel of EII Capital P.S.C and its portfolio companies, a role she has held for close to three years. She oversees the holding company and three additional portfolio entities, including MBS (Memaar Building Systems), among the world’s largest manufacturers of pre-engineered steel building materials, where she supports an operation of roughly 700–800 employees. The remit is intense and hands-on: reviewing commercial contracts, issuing legal opinions to the business, running board and corporate secretarial affairs, and ensuring governance hygiene across commodities. She also serves as Corporate Board Secretary at EII and two other companies, anchoring the cadence of board documentation and decision-making. Governance, Judgment, and Pace Describing the day-to-day as ‘very intense’, she balances volume and velocity with structure: contracts and legal opinions must move at the speed of operations, while board matters demand rigour, record integrity, and clear communication. The result is a dual mindset, where she is expected to be both an operator and an advisor, and where she is expected to be right, timely, and practical. It’s a posture refined by her prior years in private practice and risk/compliance roles, and it informs the way she frames options for senior management: legally sound, commercially aware, and calibrated to development. Five Years in Risk & Compliance at a Major Prestigious Regional Law Firm Before moving in-house, Nadia Serry spent nearly five years with Al Tamimi & Co as a risk and compliance lawyer—an experience that sharpened her skills in handling complex, high-stakes matters. The firm’s fast-paced and professional environment gave her exposure to diverse jurisdictions and regulatory challenges, equipping her with the resilience and adaptability that continue to define her leadership style today. The pandemic years further tested her ability to balance professional intensity with personal responsibilities, as she successfully managed a heavy caseload while raising her young son as a single mother in Dubai—an achievement she values as both a professional milestone and a personal triumph. Learning the Market in a Boutique Law Firm Nadia’s first legal role in Dubai was with HAS Law Firm , a local firm that later grew into a large, reputable practice. In that ‘small family’ environment, she touched a bit of everything, exactly the kind of breadth that accelerates learning in a new jurisdiction. The experience grounded her in court practice, client service, and the day-to-day realities of the UAE legal ecosystem; she remains on good terms with former colleagues and considers that initial year both formative and fondly remembered. One Year in PR to Test a Different Muscle Between Egypt and Dubai, Nadia Serry took a purposeful detour from the legal path, spending a year as PR Manager with the San Giovanni hospitality and tourism group in Egypt. The role brought her into the world of high-profile events, VIP hosting, and brand representation—work she found both enjoyable and refreshingly hassle-free. Yet, as rewarding as the experience was, it also clarified where her long-term identity lay. While she valued the exposure to a dynamic, customer-facing industry, she found herself missing the intellectual rigor and structured problem-solving rhythm of the law. That realization became pivotal: the detour reinforced her passion for the legal profession and propelled her return with renewed clarity and conviction. Law, Diplomacy, and a Philosophy of Freedom Nadia Serry spent three years in a diplomatic post in Paris, serving as Legal Coordinator at the Bureau of the Attaché Militaire and pursuing advanced legal study, completing the first year and an additional semester of a Master 1 in Private International Law. She describes the period of living in Paris as living inside a ‘piece of art,’ where standards are high and the social fabric prizes freedom as sacred and untouchable, as long as one does not harm others. Paris shaped her eye for quality and her respect for principled autonomy, lessons she carries into boardrooms and negotiations today. Alexandria, Courtrooms, and the First Lessons of Practice Nadia Serry graduated from the Faculty of Law, Alexandria University, and began her career as a junior lawyer at Nadoury & Nahas , a reputable Law Firm in Alexandria. Those first years, going to court, learning the craft, and understanding the procedure, were her grounding in the realities of practice. Marriage and motherhood followed; then Paris, then Egypt again, and ultimately Dubai, where the in-house chapter would begin. Each move sharpened different capabilities: legal analysis, cultural intelligence, and the poise to reset and excel in new contexts. Soft Skills as Hard Advantages ‘Brilliant’ legal analysis alone is not enough, Nadia Serry argues. Without emotional intelligence, respect, and the ability to work effectively within teams and with senior colleagues, even a technically strong lawyer will struggle to succeed. She prizes self-awareness, knowing her strengths and areas for improvement, as well as respect for every role in the organisation, from the office assistant to the CEO. Additionally, she values cultural openness, which includes having lunch with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, listening, and building trust across differences. In her view, these “soft” skills are the hard edges of long-term success. Decision-Making, Dissent, and Accountability Nadia Serry believes that a lawyer’s role is not about saying what leaders want to hear, but about saying what they need to hear. That means owning the legal view—even when it is unpopular. Her job, as she frames it, is to map the risks, lay

Google Upgrades NotebookLM With ‘Deep Research’ Tool and Support for More File Types

Prime Highlight Google has introduced a powerful “Deep Research” toolin NotebookLM that automatically generates research plans, conducts web searches, and produces detailed reports. The update aims to streamline complex research workflows, allowing users to build organised knowledge bases while the AI conducts background analysis. Key Facts NotebookLM now supports Google Sheets, PDFs from Drive, Microsoft Word files, and multiple Drive URLs, greatly expanding users’ upload and research options. Google confirmed that these new features will roll out to all NotebookLM users within a week, continuing the platform’s steady growth since its launch in 2023. Background Google has updated NotebookLM, AI note-taking and research assistant, by adding a new “Deep Research” tool and support for more file formats. The updates aim to help users handle complex research tasks more efficiently and build organised knowledge bases without disrupting their workflow. The new Deep Research tool works like a virtual researcher. Users can ask a question, after which the tool creates a complete research plan, browses the web, and compiles a detailed report grounded in verified sources. The report can then be added directly to a user’s notebook. Google says the feature is designed to automate time-consuming research steps, giving users more room to focus on analysis and writing. While Deep Research works in the background, users can continue adding their own materials. Deep Research can be accessed by starting a search in the source panel and selecting “Web” as the source. Users can pick “Deep Research” for detailed analysis or “Fast Research” for quick results. Google has also expanded file-upload options on NotebookLM. Users can now upload Google Sheets, PDFs from Google Drive, Microsoft Word documents, and even add multiple Drive files as URLs. This update allows NotebookLM to process a wider range of materials, including spreadsheets, making summarisation and note organisation much easier. Google says these new features will be available to all NotebookLM users within a week. Since its launch in late 2023, NotebookLM has continued to add features such as Audio Overviews and Video Overviews, and earlier this year, the service became available on Android and iOS.

Laura M. Troyer

Laura M. Troyer, MBA- Navigating Business, Family, and The Pursuit of Mastery

The journey to fulfilling your professional aspirations is not a linear path, but rather a complex map created with commitment and resilience. Center stage on this map is Laura M. Troyer, MBA, a professional whose career trajectory is defined by her unwavering inner essence. She is an award-winning Business Consultant, best-selling author, and impactful international speaker. Laura is driven by her heart for humanity and a passion for solution-oriented outcomes. Laura’s life story underscores a manifesto for perseverance in her personal and professional life. Growing up the second oldest of six children in Ohio, she quickly learned that anything is possible when we work together. Now living in Greenville, South Carolina, she works in high-stakes professional sectors; including legal, healthcare, and higher education, while continuing to prioritize her family. As a mother of three successful adult children and ‘Gigi’ of three grandchildren (with two more due in 2026), her personal life has become the compassion-fuelled engine for her involvement in the community. While navigating through corporate life, Laura maintains a relentless focus on the profound and weighty work of empowering individuals, as she is living proof that leadership is a legacy defined by being present, remaining teachable, and always inviting the higher bar of integrity. Early Life and Professional Awakening Laura’s narrative begins in Toledo, Ohio. Her large family structure immediately shaped her collaborative spirit and instilled essential resilience, lessons learned daily from her parents, Chuck and Pam Kessinger. After completing her high school education, she continued her path of discipline and focus, earning her bachelor’s degree from Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana. Her initial career stepping stone was in the banking industry, where she gained foundational knowledge in finance and client service. She later made a profound, conscious choice to pivot and become a stay-at-home mother, a period that became, unexpectedly, her true professional awakening. Her transition into sales began accidentally when she simply needed a Mary Kay consultant after moving. Though she previously rejected the notion of being a “salesperson,” she viewed the opportunity as a positive environment for building new friendships. She quickly realized the core truth: sales is about talking authentically, listening intently, and providing solutions, not just selling products. She rapidly ascended to team leader, and this hands-on, home-based business served as the accidental yet crucial launchpad for her future consulting career. Following a divorce, Laura returned to the full-time workforce in demanding business sales consultant roles, driven by a single, profound motivation: to be the reliable provider and a pillar of strength for her children. She maintains a passion for nature-based activities like camping and boating, finding peace outdoors with family and friends. She also remains a loyal fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals, proving her roots run deep. Strategic Career Design and Mastery Laura’s career trajectory is deeply and intentionally marked by her commitment to keeping her family as her non-negotiable anchor. Early on, she established a firm boundary, refusing any professional role that required lengthy travel away from her children. This commitment came at the cost of promotions and higher salaries, but she reasoned that her most vital role was raising the next generation of leaders, instilling core values like integrity, a strong work ethic, and modelling respect. To successfully integrate her career with her children’s active lives, she strategically sought out outside or field sales consultant roles with a strict one-hour geographic constraint on her territory. This strategy forced her to maintain control over her own schedule and master exceptional time management skills. Her natural excellence in remote work, long before it was common, became a powerful, strategic enabler of her sustained work-life balance and high performance, cutting commute times and reducing costs. Decades after her undergraduate studies, Laura pursued a lifelong aspiration: an MBA. This was a challenging commitment, as she began her studies while balancing a career and family. Despite falling slightly short on the GMAT, she successfully submitted a persuasive appeal based on her two decades of high-level professional experience, gaining acceptance on probation. Her intense dedication paid off: she graduated with her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Raj Soin College of Business at Wright State University in December 2019, a monumental achievement that validated her commitment to continuous intellectual growth and the pursuit of mastery. The Consultant’s Core: Purpose, Resilience, and Tenacity Laura holds an enormous appetite for the world of business, viewing it as the “engine that makes the world go round,” but her focus remains relentlessly on individual empowerment. Her professional drive is dedicated to helping organizations find solutions and achieve success, fuelled by the conviction that assisting someone professionally inherently helps them personally by providing financial stability and mental health security. She finds great satisfaction in leveraging her entrepreneurial spirit to manage her own book of business and make crucial strategic decisions. Her constant application and sharpening of skills across diverse industries, legal, healthcare, and higher education, ensure her ongoing learning and mental stimulation. Her internal drive is supported by exceptional time management and a highly task-oriented nature, built on the discipline of completing one task entirely before moving on. Critically, she learned that true leadership isn’t a title; it is built upon caring sincerely about others. This perspective guides her: a great leader must hire competent people, provide training, and release them with the essential gift of trust to execute their roles. They must prioritize their team’s total well-being, avoiding the debilitating stress of micromanagement and recognizing employees have lives outside of work. Crucial personal lessons were mastering the power of humility, which she views as a strength born from learning from mistakes, and recognizing that “it’s ok to say ‘no’ sometimes” to maintain focus and avoid burnout. She actively works on developing robust emotional resilience against toxic work environments, learning to pause, step away, and not overthink scenarios involving workplace pressures. Her unwavering passion for truth, integrity, and maintaining a clear conscience forms the ethical foundation of her professional life. Enduring the Post-Pandemic Upheaval The

Women

Women Leading with Heart and Strategy

Redefining Authority Leadership‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ has always mirrored the era it lived in, and now it is being rewritten. A study across the three verticals of industries, countries, and roles revealed that women are the ultimate re-definers of leadership. No longer confining themselves within obsolete notions of dominating power and control, female execs are setting the stage for a fresher model that couples empathy with perfection, intuition with reason, and compassion with insight. Alongside these attributes, they involve not only the brain but also the strategy, the heart. The Shift from Power to Purpose The standard framework for authority was basically that of a power grab—one that, through manipulation and exploitation, enforced control and thus respect. However, in such a fast-changing world, which is built on the principles of collaboration, inclusion, and innovation, these kinds of models have their days numbered. The new age of leadership is about influence, not intimidation; about vision, not volume. These are the same women leaders who have accepted the challenge and are leading such changes. The dominant characteristic of their method of authority is a sense of mission. They lead not to command, but to connect; not to dictate, but to inspire. Their power comes from being sincere– a quality of living their faith and dream by virtue of their humanity. They subordinate authority by showing that it is not about being in charge—it is about being responsible. The Power of Leading with Heart Once empathy was regarded as an undesirable “soft skill”, but now it is one of the most strategic and influential powers a person can have. Women leaders who are usually very much in touch with their emotional side are proving that leadership centered around the heart is not emotional, but rather it can be sustained for a long time. In allowing empathy to guide their leadership, they thus become able to trust, loyalty, and resilience emerge in their groups. Help the leader to be seen by society as an artist of the job and open the partnership idea to the colleague through his heartfelt listening. Correctly managing under stress while estimating the emotional part of the performers grants infinite development not achievable by numbers alone. By their very nature, workplaces are becoming more volatile, with a growing emphasis on emotional intelligence as the platform upon which security and belonging will reside. Breaking‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ the Mold, Building the Model The evolution of female leadership is not solely about smashing glass ceilings; it’s about establishing new roots. Each woman who combines love and cleverness in her leadership defies the old story demanding that leadership must be a certain way. She doesn’t just become the example of leadership—it’s the one she leads–equilibrated, participative, and profoundly a human being. Such leaders grasp the idea that power should not be gained through the demonstration of superiority, but rather through the acquisition of trust. They change the meaning of influence to empowerment, thereby, giving more power, not less, instead of controlling. They do not just create success stories in systems; they ensure success remains in these systems—systems where development is collective, and ascent is mutual. The Future is Balanced Gender‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ will not be a factor in determining future leadership. It will be the leaders whose balanced emotional intelligence and strategic intelligence, authenticity and ambition, and collaboration and conviction stand out. We have a proven record of women leaders who are successfully navigating this path, one of leadership, whereby it is not a matter of choosing either of heart or strategy but rather a matter of merging both. Without doubt, they promote the leadership model, which is based on their insight and experience, just like the model that treats people and considers them as the greatest asset besides profits and purposes. The next-generation leadership, mainlined by their principles, is the one that can adapt, be accountable, and be strong. A Redefinition Rooted in Humanity Rebuilding the definition of power implies bringing back the human side of it. The woman leader who combines strength and sensitivity in her leadership style calls the shot and reminds the audience that leadership is not a matter of being at the top but a matter of standing shoulder to shoulder with others. It is about helping others ascend and not getting them down. It’s about turning empathy into new opportunities and strategy into action. In the era when the planet requires both innovation and moral principles, such leadership is not only welcome—it is necessary. Leaders who are this way, women are the very force of a silent revolution—one that subjugates care for the controlled and replaces hierarchy with harmony. Balancing Innovation with Integrity

The Dynamic Leaders Leadership‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ is heading to an intersection in a world that is mainly composed of disruption, progress, and change that is constant. We have never witnessed innovative breakthroughs to be so rapid, yet the need for integrity could not be any higher. On one hand, the world celebrates the visionaries who upset the industries, but on the other hand, it expects leaders that uphold and live their values. Finding the right balance: balancing the talent to innovate with the integrity to be honest and fair actually constitutes both the biggest challenge and, simultaneously, the biggest accomplishment of leadership nowadays. The leaders that will shape the future are those who can make changes without losing their character, who can move forward without their moral compass and who are able to combine ambition with authenticity. The Age of Dual Demands Today’s leaders are surrounded by conditions that call for and benefit from speed, experimentation, and constant reinvention. Markets can be altered to an extreme degree in just a day, new technologies can make entire industries obsolete and competitors can come from any part of the world. Innovation has become necessary for success. However, despite this constant call for new things and disruption, there is at the same time a growing perception that innovation without integrity cannot last. The most effective leaders are those who understand that the pursuit of progress must be accompanied by principles. It is integrity that gives innovation the right direction; it is the element that makes new inventions not only for the profit but also for the benefit of people. The core of modern leadership, which is not only capable of change, evolution, and inspiring but is also founded on trust and transparency, is based on this ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌balance. Innovation:‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ The Engine of Progress Innovation is the most important thing of the life of the organizations that successfully continue their activities. It confronts the organizations with problems that solving the problems is the matter of the process itself, is seeking it with curiosity and is bold enough to see a better way through it.. The leaders that are in power constantly alive and know how to keep this energy going, do it by leading the activities that create a fertile soil for the idea to sprout and for the testing to be done from which they learn. They give their squads the freedom to take risks, doubt, and learn from failure. However, innovation stands for a lot more than just invention, it reshapes the world with a purpose. Not at all, innovations are simply newly made things, but better ones from the old. The real innovators are not motivated by the desire to cause disruption for its own sake, but to make the world a better place. Their creative work is regulated by ethics, so that what they do for progress does not cause a decrease in the standards of life, but increases them. The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Human Dimension of Dynamic Leadership Leadership at its core is a very human thing to be. While innovation may have the power to change whole industries, it is still integrity that changes people. Leaders who are able to keep both in balance know that their power goes far beyond the company and its products – it is the power of touching people’s lives. Such leaders use intellect as well as empathy in their leading. They see success not only in figures but also in the value. They generate the kind of environment where employees are at the same time both motivated and supported, where the drive for success is controlled by responsibility, and where inventiveness is accompanied by morality. The human side of leadership through changes teaches us that innovation is not a matter of substituting human work by technology but rather to improve humanity by means of technology. It is about keeping the progress pursuit in harmony with the principles that make progress valuable. The Future Belongs to the Balanced The demand for balanced leadership is becoming more and more evident as the world is changing at an unprecedent rate. Leaders of the next decade will be required to be able to use one of the greatest assets of their time, creativity, without losing their credibility and at the same time make relentless progress on issues without giving up their principles. The future will not be the children of the reckless innovators nor the followers of the past who hold on to it tightly but it will be the leaders who are able to balance both sides with elegance and unwavering faith that will take charge. Such a leader is not only able to foresee the future but is also a careful custodian—he protects values while leading change. They make us recall that innovation may alter the world, but it is integrity that keeps it. And it is in this equilibrium that the true power of modern leadership is found—the authority not only to create the new, but also the ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌right.
