What followed was a six-year season in which he submitted more than 200 job applications—even for positions paying as little as SGD 2,000—without receiving an offer. SHEKINAIH describes this as a season of ‘closed heaven’ after seven years of plenty. Yet throughout those six years, she testifies that THE GOD OF THE UNIVERSE provided for them supernaturally. When their bank balance was approaching zero, she prayed that it was time for heaven to open. Within two weeks, a headhunter called her husband and said that, although other suitable candidates existed, he felt the role was meant for him. Her husband received the position at remuneration equivalent to his previous salary.
