Bengaluru, India, August 6, 2026: Probe42, a business intelligence platform focused on company and entity data, has launched two new capabilities, P&P CERSAI and Mercury, to strengthen business research, credit assessment, and secured-lending workflows for banks, financial institutions, and enterprises.
P&P CERSAI provides structured access to security-interest registration data for proprietorship and partnership businesses, a segment that has traditionally been more difficult for lenders and businesses to evaluate through conventional corporate information sources. Mercury, Probe42’s AI-powered research assistant, enables users to interact with the platform through a conversational interface, helping them find and interpret company and business-entity information without navigating multiple reports and datasets.
Together, the new capabilities expand Probe42’s coverage of India’s informal and semi-formal business ecosystem while bringing a conversational research layer to its existing business intelligence platform.
Expanding visibility into proprietorship and partnership businesses
P&P CERSAI provides access to more than 9 crore security-interest records covering over 1.4 crore proprietorship and partnership firms. Lenders can search borrowers using PAN and access information relating to registered security interests, pledged assets, borrower relationships and lending institutions through a single interface.
The capability is designed to support credit underwriting, risk assessment and compliance processes by giving financial institutions greater visibility into secured liabilities associated with businesses that may not have the depth of publicly available information typically associated with incorporated companies.
“Businesses today need more than access to data; they need the confidence to discover, understand and evaluate opportunities faster,” said Prahlad Krishnamurthi, CEO, Probe42. “Proprietorships and partnerships significantly outnumber registered companies, yet structured information about this segment has historically been difficult to access. With P&P CERSAI, we are extending the depth of our business intelligence capabilities to this important part of the Indian economy. This is an important step in our broader effort to build a comprehensive intelligence layer for the P&P ecosystem and enable customers to assess opportunities and risk with greater confidence.”
Mercury brings conversational research to business intelligence
Alongside P&P CERSAI, Probe42 has introduced Mercury, an AI-powered research assistant integrated into its platform.
Mercury enables users to ask questions about companies and business entities in natural language and receive contextual responses based on Probe42’s underlying business intelligence. The capability is intended to reduce the time required to locate relevant information across multiple datasets and reports.
Following early organic adoption, Probe42 is expanding Mercury’s capabilities across its existing product ecosystem, including coverage of proprietorship and partnership businesses.
By combining structured business data with a conversational research interface, the company aims to make business intelligence more accessible to users involved in lending, due diligence, KYC, compliance, portfolio monitoring and market research.
Building a broader business intelligence layer
The launch of P&P CERSAI and Mercury represents the latest expansion of Probe42’s efforts to bring fragmented business information into a single intelligence environment.
The company currently provides business intelligence covering more than 20 lakh companies and LLPs and 1.4 crore proprietorship and partnership firms, drawing on more than 744 data sources, including MCA, ROC, GST, courts, and CERSAI.
Probe42 says its platform is used by more than 1,000 customers, including leading Indian banks, as well as over 105,000 bankers and 75,000 corporate users. Its applications include credit assessment, KYC and onboarding, counterparty due diligence, compliance, portfolio monitoring and market intelligence.
With its expanded coverage of proprietorships and partnerships and the addition of an AI-powered research interface, Probe42 is positioning its platform to provide lenders and businesses with broader visibility across India’s diverse business landscape.
